Kami Cole, born in Denver, Colorado, and raised with deep roots in South Louisiana, grew up immersed in the blues, heavily influenced by her father, Guitar Slim Cole. By 16, she recorded her first single, "Don’t Take My Love for Granted," and soon after began opening for legends like Tyrone Davis and Marvin Sease. Gaining national attention with a golden ticket on American Idol, Kami continued her career as a lead vocalist for The Flavor Band before launching her solo career in 2018 with the hit "Sugar Daddy." In 2022, she released her album From the Heart, featuring collaborations with New Cupid and Lil' Runt.
